Serve

For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

At Calvary, we believe that serving God means serving others (Mark 10:45). Each of us has been uniquely gifted by the Lord, and we joyfully use those gifts to build up His church. When we see a need, we step toward it—not waiting for someone else to act, but trusting that God equips us to serve where He has placed us. Our service doesn’t stop at the church doors. We seek to love and serve our community, our region, and the world with the same love and humility that Christ has shown us.

In most cases, we ask that you attend Calvary for six months before serving. If you haven’t reached that point yet, you’re still welcome to complete the form — we’ll keep it on file and follow up once you’ve been here for six months.

Lifestyle Expectations
We believe the Bible is the foundation for every lifestyle decision (2 Timothy 3:16). As you serve on a team at Calvary Church, we expect you to pursue a lifestyle that aligns with the principles laid out in Scripture.

It’s important to understand the weight and responsibility of serving. We recognize that perfection is impossible this side of heaven. However, there should be evidence of consistent spiritual growth — a desire to refine your attitudes and behaviors as you deepen your relationship with Jesus and strengthen your impact on those around you (Philippians 2:12).

By choosing to serve, you are acknowledging and committing to these Lifestyle Expectations.
