Zander and Olivia Shashura are local to the Pittsburgh area and have been married since January 2020. They have three kids, whom they love to take on walks, to various parks, and Costco, of course. They have both served in some aspect of ministry for most of their teenage/adult lives, and truly desire to see Jesus change, heal, and strengthen His body of believers. Olivia’s parents planted Calvary Chapel South Pittsburgh where Zander has served as an assistant pastor and Olivia the worship director for a number of years.

 

At a conference in the fall of 2023, both Zander and Olivia had a strong desire to step out in faith, not quite sure what that would look like. Zander, not usually a dreamer, had a big vision in the following months to reach Pittsburgh through the teaching of God’s Word. The next summer, after praying and seeking counsel, friends from the North Hills of Pittsburgh connected with Zander to see if he would be willing to start a home fellowship. After a time of prayer, both he and Olivia felt the Lord’s stirring and stepped into the open door before them.

 

They desire for people to see Jesus and to know and experience the power of the gospel through the teaching of God’s word and by a work of the Holy Spirit. As they venture out in faith, they are excited to see the Lord be glorified, the church to be edified, and many come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ.
